POOLE Tourism’s Surf Rest + Play branding can be seen all over town as Poole Radio Cabs get the makeover treatment. The new look has been unveiled to welcome visitors thanks to a unique partnership by Poole Tourism and Poole Radio Cabs.

Two Poole Radio Cabs have received the “full body makeover” with Poole Surf Rest + Play and pooletourism.com branding, with special rear bumper branding for the rest of the fleet. It’s not just the cabs getting the make over treatment, Poole Radio Cab drivers now have a smart new uniform complete with Surf Rest + Play branding.

Poole Radio Cabs Ltd is the first taxi company in Dorset to receive an Energy Efficiency in Business (EEIB) accreditation. Following an extensive review of energy usage, advice and training by an EEIB Energy Specialist significant savings have been identified. The introduction of energy efficient lighting will be the first noticeable change.  These smart LED tubes replace conventional strip lights and save 65% in energy consumption and last at least 2 ½ times longer. Allied to these improvements PRC are trialling two Kleenoil units. These units mean that cars should never need an oil change. Saving money and the environment.

Poole Radio Cabs is also encouraging drivers to use Bio-diesel which can be obtained at Holton Heath Industrial Estate.

After a successful trial period, Poole Radio Cabs is pleased to announce the official launch of it's new Hospital Car Share Service.

The Hospital Car Share service allows Car Share members discounted fares to and from the Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals. Membership costs £5 per year and members receive significant discounts on their car journeys to and from the hospitals. It only takes 1 or 2 journeys for the scheme to pay for itself and many members are making significant savings on their transport costs.

With over 120 cars, Poole Radio Cabs is the largest Taxi operator in Poole. 

Poole Radio Cabs Ltd are preparing for the Olympic Sailing Event due to be held in Weymouth, Dorset in 2012 with the recent addition of three new wheelchair accesible vehicles.

This will bring the total number of taxis up to 120 and the wheechair accessible fleet to 10.

General Manager Mr Gary White said "these new vehicles will be extremely useful for us and hopefully will meet the demands put upon us when the paraolympics take place in the summer of 2012. We will keep on aggressively expanding the fleet and hopefully will have even more vehicles available to meet any demands put upon us".
